I am a retired acute care neurosurgery nurse practitioner who worked at the University of Michigan from 2006-2018. I loved my job but tried to balance my life with some creative outlets including learning to play some classical guitar pieces and working with fused glass.
I fell in love with Northern Michigan years ago and was happy to relocate here after retirement. I never tire of walking the shores of Lake Michigan or driving up the Leelanau or Old Mission peninsulas. My artistic inspiration comes from nature and Impressionist art and my work with kiln formed glass is an attempt to reflect some of the beauty I see on a daily basis.
