Being born and raised in Northern Michigan, I was instilled with the love for nature. My wife and I started boating on our Great Lakes about 30 years ago. We found so many beautiful rocks on our travels and that included our state stone, the Petoskey stone. I had always wanted to carve and it all came together with a Petoskey stone. The time spent on the shores looking for the stones is also one of the best parts. Retirement is just around the corner, and I look forward to the time to create and see where the stones take me.
