My art is about recognizing the human form for how it is, rather than how we would like it to be. The ordinary is valued, the differences expressed, the imperfections now satisfying, just like life itself. My hope as you view my sculptures is that you will connect with the emotion each piece is speaking to you.
The found object pieces are mostly driftwood and rocks that I have procured from the various beaches on the Leelanau peninsula. Each rock or piece of driftwood that I would find spoke to me about what it hoped to be and it is my honor to have transformed into a piece of art for you to enjoy.
