Wood Carver
Having lived on Long Lake has been a huge inspiration for his love of nature and the artwork he creates. He began his wood carving hobby when he worked at the Traverse City Junior High School in 1981, when he carved duck decoys. He soon branched out into carving songbirds and other wildlife. Tom has improved his work through participating in art festivals like the Crane Festival and Art Prize. Tom is enjoying retirement from Fedex by traveling and spending time with his 4 grandkids.
